BHS Innovation Fund
The BHS Innovation Fund provides grants for BHS faculty and administrators to develop new courses and programs that are innovative, interdisciplinary, and forward-thinking. Funded initiatives are designed to improve academic achievement for all students at BHS. They enrich the learning culture, prepare students to thrive in an increasingly global and complex world, and energize faculty by encouraging new curriculum development and experimentation.

BHS PTO
The Brookline High School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) strengthens the partnership between families and the school community while supporting educators and administrators in everyday school life.
The PTO helps fund enrichment initiatives, classroom materials, scholarships, and community-building events, including:
- Freshman BBQ
- Cherry Blossom Festival
- College Essay Workshop
- Race Reel movie nights
The PTO also sponsors regular parent and guardian meetings focused on topics such as:
- Course and curriculum choices
- Academic support
- Student emotional well-being

Brookline Education Foundation
The Brookline Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Brookline’s commitment to excellence in public education. The BEF raises private funds to support innovative teaching, administrative leadership, professional development, and community participation in the schools. We are proud to be celebrating our 45th anniversary this year, having raised and granted over $6 million for Brookline educators’ professional development since 1981!

Brookline Friends of Performing Arts (FoPA) at BHS
FoPA (Brookline Friends of Performing Arts at BHS) supports the educational activities of the Performing Arts Department at Brookline High School through: fundraising and grantmaking for needs and aspirations identified by the BHS Performing Arts Department faculty and leadership; increasing the visibility of the Performing Arts education at BHS and its role in the Public Schools of Brookline through outreach and communication; and strengthening community through volunteer engagement.
One-third of the student population participates annually in the performing arts at BHS, in approximately 30 productions. FoPA volunteers collaborate with faculty in activities including Communications/Publicity, Performance Support/Box Office, Fundraising, and K8/Community Outreach.

BHS Alumni
The Brookline High School Alumni Association was founded in 1990 to support and strengthen connections among Brookline High School alumni and the broader school community.

Brookline Adult & Community Education
BACE is one of the oldest and largest nonprofit, non-credit public education programs in Massachusetts, with roots in the community dating back to 1832. For much of its history, BACE was an entirely self-sustaining program of the Brookline public schools, funded solely through course registrations from the thousands of residents and learners who took part each year. BACE is now under the leadership of the Brookline Recreation Department.
Brookline Community Foundation (BCF) Scholarship Fund for Brookline High School
The BCF Scholarship Fund for Brookline High School provides crucial, 100% need-based scholarships to graduating seniors, helping to close the gap between what they can afford and the full cost of the college or vocational training program of their choice. This endowed fund is a partnership with Brookline High School and the Town of Brookline and is the largest scholarship fund managed by BCF.
The endowed scholarship fund supports Brookline High School’s efforts to provide financial assistance to graduating seniors with demonstrated financial need.
Scholarship awards may support students pursuing:
- Four-year colleges and universities
- Two-year community colleges
- Vocational education programs
- Other educational programs approved by the BHS Scholarship Committee

Brookline Schools Staff Children's Center
The Brookline Schools Staff Children's Center (BSSCC) is a high-quality early education program serving toddlers and preschoolers of Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury, and Brookline area families. We value the learning that comes from child-directed inquiries, the collaboration that evolves from developing social-emotional skills, and the joy that stems from spending time in nature.

Brookline Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC)
The Brookline Special Education Parent Advisory Council is a parent group charged with advising Brookline's School Committee and Public Schools Administration regarding issues affecting students on IEPs and 504 plans and their families. We also support students and families by advocating for equity, sharing information, connecting people and resources, and providing a forum for meeting other families who share interests. We strive to cultivate membership reflective of the diversity of the District and to include members from all Brookline Schools and programs and from Out-of-District placements.
