Our Program

Brookline High School offers both alpine skiing and Nordic skiing during the winter season.

Nordic Skiing

The Brookline High School Nordic Ski Team provides student-athletes with the opportunity to participate in a challenging full-body sport that develops endurance, strength, technique, and race strategy. Skiers learn the skate-ski technique and build cardiovascular fitness while training on a variety of terrain.

No prior experience is required. Athletes of all skill levels are welcome and receive personalized coaching in a supportive team environment.

Practices begin after Thanksgiving with dryland training and transition to on-snow practices at Weston Ski Track as conditions permit. Athletes work on technique, strength, agility, and race preparation throughout the season.

Competitions are held during the winter season, with opportunities to compete at both varsity and junior varsity levels. The season concludes with championship events for qualifying athletes.

Equipment rentals, including skis, boots, and poles, are available, and financial assistance may be available for families who need support obtaining equipment.
