NetID Registration

BHS Student NetID Registration Instructions

Register your BHS NetID account to sync your password and access student technology tools, including:

  • Aspen Student and Family Portal
  • Google Workspace for Education account (@brooklinek12.org)
  • BHS_Student Wi-Fi
  • Canvas Learning Management System
  • NoodleTools, VoiceThread, and other learning tools

Register Your Account

New BHS students, including the incoming Freshmen class, should follow the steps below to register their NetID account.

Step 1: Register Your Account

Go to Reset My Password.

  1. Select High School Students.
  2. Select Register/Account Preferences.

Step 2: Enter Your NetID Username and Password

  • NetID Username: Last two digits of graduation year + last name + first initial. Example: John Smith, Class of 2029 = 29smithj.
  • NetID Password: Your initial password to register your account

Your Student ID number (LASID) can be found in the Aspen Family Portal or on your report card.

If you do not know your NetID or password, parents/guardians can access this information in the Aspen Parent Portal under Published Reports in the document titled “NetID Information.”

Step 3: Set Up Two Security Questions

To verify your identity for future password changes, choose and answer two security questions.

  1. Choose a question from the dropdown menu.
  2. Type your answer twice, once on each line.
  3. Use lowercase text for your answers.
  4. Select Next.
  5. Choose another question and repeat the steps above.
  6. Select Next when finished.

Step 4: Add a Personal Email Address

  1. Enter a personal email address that can be used to recover your password if you are locked out of Aspen, BHS Wi-Fi, or Google.
  2. Select Next.
  3. Enter the one-time code emailed to you from Reset My Password.

Step 5: Change Your Password

  1. Enter your new password twice.
  2. Remember this password. It will be your daily password for email, Aspen, and BHS Student Wi-Fi.
  3. Select Change Password when complete.

Password Rules

  • Minimum length: 8 characters
  • Maximum length: 128 characters
  • Dictionary words are allowed
  • Password may not contain your username
  • Password may not use any of your three previous passwords

Registration Complete

Congratulations! Your BHS NetID account is now set up.

Once you reach the completion screen, your profile is complete. Select Sign Out in the top-right corner.
